What a fantastic sight to witness on stage at The Millennium Forum in Derry. The five Queens of Country performed to packed houses during the tour.
During the finale, there were no less than thirteen artists on stage creating a spectacular that was a musical masterpiece of immense proportions.
Lynn Anderson, Jeannie Seely, Louise Morrissey, Billie Jo Spears and the crowned Queen of Irish Country, Philomena Begley. The show has something for everyone and the set list read like the Greatest Country Hits compilation.
The Queens were backed by one of the hottest country bands currently on the road. People talked about Emmylou Harris and the Hot Band, well these guys just burned the stage.
Blistering country lead guitar, cajun fiddle, warm pedal steel, chicken picken’ banjo and great piano, all held together by the powerhouse rhythm section on bass and drums. This is a band to keep a look out for. You can expect to see them as the number one choice for touring artists...when they’re hot THEY’RE HOT!
